    London Underground

The London Underground, or the 'tube' as it is reffered to by locals, is dedicated to providing efficient and quality service to all its customers. There are 12 tube lines that serve Greater London extending northwest to Amersham in Buckinghamshire, northeast to Epping in Essex, southwest to the Heathrow airport and southeast to Beckton (via the DLR). The 'tube' has been a form of transportation in London since 1863, and it is the oldest and most extensive underground transport system in the world. The London Underground is also the fastest and simplest way of travelling around the London area. Typically, the first tube train begins its route at 5:30 am and the last train departs between 11:30 pm and 12:30 am. For frequent service updates phone 020 7222 1234.
