    Maida Vale lies close to the former Roman road out of London of the same name. A Bakerloo line station, the surrounding area is mostly residential.

    Kensington Olympia Station
    The District line has a branch which terminates here, just outside the Olympia exhibition centre. Silverlink rail services also stop here on a line that runs from Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction.

    Paddington Station
    Paddington is a very busy station, national rail services leave here for Wales and the west of England. There is a high speed service to Heathrow Airport, some airlines have check-in facilities within the station. Tube services run through Paddington on the Hammersmith and City, Circle, District and Bakerloo lines.

    London Bridge Station
    London Bridge has Tube services on the Northern and Jubilee lines, national rail services to the south of England also leave from here.

    Tower Hill Tube Station
    A short walk from London's iconic Tower Bridge, Tower Hill is on the Circle and District lines. Fenchurch Street railway station is close by.

    Swiss Cottage Tube station is on the Jubilee line between St. John's Wood and Finchley Road. The name is derived from a pub which stands near the station.

    West Kensington Tube Station
    West Kensington has a District line service and is in between the Earl's Court and Barons Court stations.

    Leicester Square Tube Station
    The stretch of the Piccadilly line between Covent Garden and Leicester Square is the shortest distance between two stations on the Tube. The Northern line also stops here, at the centre of London's entertainment district.

    Embankment Tube Station
    Embankment is served by the Circle, District, Bakerloo and Northern lines with national rail services from Charing Cross a short walk away.

    Camden Town Tube Station
    The City and Charing Cross branches of the Northern line rejoin here. Camden Town is a very busy station both during the day when people travel to shop at the markets and in the evening when it's transformed into one of London's top night spots.

    Warren Street Tube Station
    Warren Street has Victoria and Northern line services, the station is located at the junction of Tottenham Court Road and Euston Road.

    King's Cross and St. Pancras Stations
    Currently undergoing major renovations, King's Cross will ultimately be the new home for London's Eurostar services. St. Pancras is actually a separate national rail station, primarily serving the Midlands. Both stations are served by a Tube stop with connections for the Victoria, Hammersmith and City, Northern, Circle, Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines. It's best to avoid this station, if possible, during commuting periods.

    Regent's Park Tube Station
    A Bakerloo line station with easy access to the park. Closed for refurbishments in June 2006, the revamped station reopened a year later with two new lifts, as well as additional security features and improved accessibility.
